SPRING TIME TOURS - Extra 4:30pm Dora Canal Tour
A fantastic time of year to see what the Dora Canal and Harris Chain of Lakes has to offer. We are currently (March 2024) seeing:
- Alligators (Big & Small)
- Bald Eagles (including juveniles)
- Turtles (Yellow belly, Cooter, Florida Soft Shell & even Alligator Snapping)
- Great Blue Herons (including juveniles)
- Anhingas (Mostly nesting)
- Wood Storks
- Wood Ducks (Only from a distance)
- Smaller Herons (Blue, Tri-color & Green)
The trees and plants are all springing into action and greening up for the spring and summer.
4:30pm Dora Canal Tour is a great way to see the canal at what is currently the warmest part of the day. Everything likes to come out and display itself. (Up until Saturday March 9th, this tour will also take in the Sunset while travelling back across Lake Dora)
